I'm quite quickly becoming a fan of the FAB chart. How good to come across John Otway again after all these years.

Palms13 oust Jordan Jansen and Emma Harder to take No.1 with "Heart Tonight". Wonderfully creative slice of originality by a couple of young guys with a bright future.
Jackson Cook, now older and with more mature vocals, has the highest new at No.12 with "Rock Cop". He plays a cool guitar, writes his own material and has built his reputation on live performances from a young age.
In at No.15 comes an old master, John Otway with "We Rock". I just love it.
At No.17 is Tom Parella with a melodic Country ballad entitled "If I Were You". I just spent a couple of minutes trying to sum it up, but all I can really say is that it's one of those songs that anybody could like, even if this isn't your style of music. Up there among the very best.
Cosmic Hoot come in at No.18 with "For England". When I heard this as the featured video last week I wasn't overly keen, but it's grown on me and I realise it needs to be listened to on a different level, a bit like Shane MacGowan. The delivery could be more polished although I get the feel that the rawness is at least partly intentional. Kinda Folky but falling short of Ralph McTell.
At No.19 is Misha Puntov with "Scarlet Sunsets". He recently had a FAB No.1 with "Valentina" and is part of the boy band Street Magic who seem to be attempting to take over the world. This is a fairly awesome ballad. My Russian is a bit iffy but the video suggests that this is about Russia's victory of Germany in WW2. I believe the anniversary is in May.
The last of six new entries comes in at No.20 and is from Martin Kitcher. "England is an Island". I like it. Mart has chosen the 2010 World Cup logo as icon for this song on his myspace, so I guess this is his offering for the occasion.
A+ Dropouts are the highest climbers going up seven places to No.10 with "Someone New".
