Bobbie Rushinin Well that's my point, she is good but she was rushed and that's where it all went pear-shaped. How often does that happen these days do you think? Is it a big problem?

Shakira phones you up and asks you to write a top-line for her and Beyonce to sing but only gives you 24 houts. What do you do? You're a better man than I if you can say no to that Michael
Michael I think she's a good writer. Maybe she - and indeed we - should learn to just say no.
Bobbie Rushin Anyone else listen to the Songwriters Songbook on Radio 2 Yesterday?

Really enjoyed it but picked up on the Amanda Ghost interview, the track of hers they played was Shakira & Beyonce “Beautiful Liar”. She mentioned that she got a call to write the top-line over an existing backing track and on saying she’d get back to them in a week or so she was told it was needed the following day.

Great production, musically and lyrically weak IMO. 24 hours to write a song and restricted by a backing track, no wonder there’s so much weak crap around these days.
