But that is the point JK

in X FACTOR they are doing karaoke - singing hit songs with big production.

in MUST BE THE MUSIC they are stripped down to their talent and their songwriting skills.

That is the most PURE sort of music there is - and is destined to find stars if they stick with this format.

The artists will get better - like BOWIE and QUEEN did - their early songs were poor and they learnt and then presented us with sensational songs. It takes time to write hit songs - experience - resources.
Complete nobody Missing Andy write great songs, Made In England from the 1st audition show was really catchy, very powerful, the one they've just done on the semi final is even better.

Complete nobody I wholly agree, I said this from the start:

This series of X Factor is too dreary for words - it's time is up and unless they make some major changes the viewing figures will plummet.

Creating two or three chart hits A WEEK with real artists who write and perform their own songs.

In addition the artists KEEP the 100% of the net profits. Bet Simon Cowell cant offer that to any X Factor Semi Finalists ?

This show really deserves support from the public.

Tune in on SUNDAY night and the FINAL is on SEPTEMBER 19th.

Some excellent acts have been discovered - and seeing as this is only SERIES ONE I think the big hitters will probably join in for Series 2.

Jamie Cullum is an excellent judge - his comments are critical but helpful and he really knows his art. The other two judges seem to care more about the music than creating reputations - the X FACTOR judges are only in it for themselves - that is quite clear.

So at last a TALENT SHOW on TV which actually judges talent and gives artists a leg up into this very difficult business.

Well done SKY TV. Maybe they can do for music what they did for the failing Football business ? Certainly Simon Cowell has not kickstarted anything.....sadly.
