GG	No, like the tracks Cutfather and company are doing that are head and shoulders above the shit that Katy Perry and the like are doing. In broader terms more like the ABBA songs that are still all over radio 40 years after the fact. Great hit songs with great arrangements. I never fail to give ABBA Gold to any new young charge. They can learn from it musically. I never liked Britney Spears but her first hit that put her on the map was a true hit song. Like it or not. The BSB songs were good for the most part. Martin deserved his ascap songwriter of the year awards. Isn't that the business of a producer? To get hits. In his case he created the sound of late nineties pop. There has been a knack for pop hits born from Scandinavia for decades, and it doesn't look like its letting up.

I have in fact about a month ago made plans to spend a couple of weeks there. The best pop hit off Kylie's new album was written by Cutfather out of Denmark. Something really to be said about the pop sensibility up there. There is something coming from there that someone like Stuart Price just does not get. That kid sounds a lot better than Justin Bieber's faux R&B crap.
JK2006	And as you'll see if you click on the new link to Popbitch, she has also been asked to take Boys Don't Cry down. It is becoming increasingly hard to enthuse about music these days! We heard from dozens of top executives about it from this thread before it disappeared and we put them onto the manager in Sweden; I'm told labels are flying in by the dozen this weekend; Stockholm will be like the old Tin Pan Alley. A lesson - log on and read new posts hourly or you'll miss the future hits that will bring you stars and make you millions. Jason Iley had the brains and the speed to pick up Orson from our first tip here; sadly he also had the lack of ability to sustain them as a band.
