I understand your point JK, but to be honest I couldnt hear the links to the songs you mentioned well not on a couple of listens anyway and also there is a completely new generation who have no idea what the above songs you are talking about sound like.
I do feel that most times people 'borrow' riffs etc is unconscious rather than deliberate.
But thanks for the comments as usual one can rely on JK to review tips. Thanks JK. A music man through and through thats what you are.

Mischa is fine but why pick song titles so reminiscent of existing classics?
Every Little Thing? Police.
Hopelessly Waiting... Olivia N-J
Go Fish... Marillion anyone?
You know what I mean.
And the music though pleasant reflects that; lack of originality.
Likewise Rated; Sexual Healing nicked for Move Your Feet
OK I understand the reasoning behind "borrowing" riffs and bits but I generally find it more annoying than inspiring.

Hi everyone just a couple of tips for your listening pleasure this weekend as we reach the end of the world cup.
The first one is from Mischa Stimac. Check out hopelessly waiting
And this one is from a friend of mine who is an aussie/lebanese rapper. A lot of Aussie hip hop in my opinion isn't any good but this guy has a jovial style and isn't too Americana if you know what i mean but would love to hear your feedback. Rated
