Showing that he is more popular than any current pop or rock star in the "Looks" department - this again shows the "Susan Boyle" effect and why the Record Labels have lost touch.

The Population in the UK is getting older and the record buying population is mainly over 30 years old. This calender is yet another example of the fact that artists like Cliff - The Beatles - Take That and other golden oldies are maintaining their popularity whilst new acts are finding it harder than ever to break through and then only rarely do they find any sort of long term career.

Most new acts seem to rely on celeb culture to sell records ( take X Factor - totally relies on the TV series to heavily promote and then they ask back their "stars" every year to further promote them to their "Loyal" audience ) However, this is ever decreasing circles of sales. The only really successful artist so far from the Simon Cowell acts is SUSAN BOYLE singing for the older generation - even Leona who I think is great has seen a dramatic collapse in sales and chart position with her latest - only Susan Boyle has had two successive Number One albums on both sides of the atlantic.

Cliff shows that life begins at 70 - looking better than ever and it would be fantastic if RADIO ONE and TWO and other stations A Listed his music because they are taxpayer funded and should reflect popularity as well as "target audience from survey and age demographics ( yuk - since when was music an age demographic anyway > )

I wonder if Santa will bring me a CLIFF calender this year - from what I have seen it looks a well shot professional thing which would look good in anyone's kitchen.

Anyone heard his new album ? any good >?
