Jive bunny was a very good argument for mixamatosis.

I suspect this tawdry "remake" has come about due to licensing rights of the original expiring (given that this tracks took massive chunks of other christmas songs, not neat little portions a la the other Jive Bunny hits) but they shouldn't have bothered, I don't see a Jive Bunny revival on the horizon and anyway Another R&R Christmas still gets played in shops & clubs and (strangely considering) nobody seems to care.

Not entirely relevant but: The year following the discovery of images on GG's computer I to went to use the services of PC World. (the company involved in the discovery of said images) It was around Christmas time and I nearly destroyed my computer completely by dropping it. Why? As I was about 1/2 a dozen paces into the building we were treated to the rousing sounds of "Another Rock And Roll Christmas". Beyond irony, and the PC World staff were all to dumb to understand why they might want to remove that particular ditty from their Yuletide selection.

So sad, and I don't have the answer, but like Slade, Wizzard, Mud, etc., Gary Glitter's music was part of my life - and it's now all been air brushed out.
