In The Know "Innocent until proved guilty" was abolished ages ago, Angel !
We are ALL guilty now !

If it were me, I'd let them take me to Court, as I'd get great pleasure in making them prove that I had dropped the litter.

(PS Get a shredder ! Never, ever dispose of anything with your name / address on it).
Angel I received a lettter by our local council today with a fixed penalty fine for littering. They found a box with a note of my address inside. Attached to the letter is a photo of the box which was found in the middle of a local car park. The car park happens to have recycling bins which is were the box was when i left it. I now have to prove to the council that I am not responsible for illegally dumping rubbish. What ever happened to being innocent until proven guilty? Failure to pay the fine will result in the Procurator Fiscal getting involved and a potential fine of £4000. I am at a loss as to how I can prove I disposed of the box appropriately? What the fuck is the world coming to?
