Yes and that is a fine point. I would suggest that with the abscence of A+R and as much financial backing as there used to be for acts, who are now indie, but would have been "signed", years ago,they must maximise what is best about themselves and sell everything as the product.

You have the advantage of being successful before the "crash" though JK.
I set-up a website then announce to the world my new album via Facebook and Twitter and guess what happens? Nowt. Radiohead do it and BOOM!
Watching the Brits was depressing, acts with no talent or decent material winning awards. It was as if nothing has changed, the machine still lives.
