I well remember that opening!
In 1990 Cathy McGowan hosted the Jonathan King produced BRIT Awards from the Dominion Theatre, London, on Sunday 18th February. It was broadcast by the BBC the following night and watched by 8.2 million viewers. |

How sad; yes, met him many times. Brian Matthew seems to be going strong though, sounding exactly the same on Radio 2 and doing a wonderful Sounds of the 60s. |
