JK2006 Aged 86, he was the legendary bewigged floor manager of Top of the Pops - during rehearsals he was wigless but placed a fine toupee on his bald pate for the live transmissions just in case a passing camera caught him in shot.

A delightful man who put all us kids at ease in the 60s.

RIP Cecil (later on he brought Countdown to Ch4).
