JK2006 My beloved method of breaking music - word of mouth - has far less impact these days. Even the huge views on You Tube - like for Rebecca Black or Chocolate Rain - don't seem to break singles.

Why? Well I suspect the eye gets bored much faster than the ear and a catchy novelty track (Johnny Reggae) may garner millions of views but virtually no sales.

How to make viewers purchase from iTunes? That is the question I'd be fighting to find an answer for, if I were running a label.
