Ami Caline (Soul Coaxing)

The original title was Âme Caline. I had never heard the orchestral version and find it a tad cheesy I have to say. And 'Soul Coaxing' is a bit odd too, as caliner is 'hug' or 'cuddle' in English.

Anyway, Polnareff is fantastic. There was a tribute album done at the end of the 90s with artists from all round the world covering his songs, including bands like Pulp, and also artists from Japan and Africa. A great album, including a really nice cover of Ame Caline by Marc Almond.

Here's the original:

Cowcumber and Possett Monsieur Mauriat covered 'Love is Blue' after it was in the Eurovision. Another instrumental around this time was Ami Caline (Soul Coaxing) done originally by Michel Polnareff and covered by Raymond Lefevre which was a big hit. That wasn't in Eurovision though..
JK2006 Wasn't the gorgeous instrumental in Eurovision? That's the classic version. Paul Mauriat.

Cowcumber and Possett Doh! Maybe this will do it..
