JK2006 No, never met him GG but had huge respect for the show.
GG This is a very sad story. Don was a maverick who did everything his way and gave exposure to countless acts (for decades) that otherwise may not have had it.

So many R&B acts owe a debt of gratitude to this man, whether they were on the show or whether those that were opened the door for them. He put Chic on when they couldn't get arrested and Nile Rodgers wrote a niece piece.

...and what a voice!
