Mike Read's Hairdresser
Alex should now try to bring a bit of edge to his songs. I could see him moving into mainstream rock and fronting a band like Iron Maiden - the haircut and T-shirt says it all really!

And Dixie... did he learn? I doubt it but his career seems to have bloomed.

No J&B, I think experts are vital and sadly sadly lacking in ability at the moment. Alex only has one person advising him, wisely I hope; but artistes need a big team of positive and talented people around them to fulfil their potential.
99% of the executives in the "old model" are not just useless but negative; they suffocate talent and enthusiasm; they have no backbone, no energy, no ability.
Just look at The Brits on Tuesday.

Interesting JK. Considering how often you talk about the experts and gatekeepers and how
artists need the professionals would you now revise this considering that Alex did it all by himself?
A&R people have been clueless for a long time. "Yes we love your music BUT...."

Not a good start when you're trying to sign a band.
I told my friend who was Chairman of the label, who said "right I'm firing him immediately". I said - "no, give him a chance; he'll learn. Anyway he's the son of a member of one of my old biggest bands".
