Where on earth is Josef Stalin when you need him?

What happened to Bowie, I don't know. Probably not considered glam enough.
In that whole series of "Top 10" programmes there were a number of overlaps, and the producers obviously had to make some decisions about which show certain acts would appear in, so as to avoid repeating whole sections. The "Top 10 Eighties" and "Top 10 Electronic" shows especially suffered from this as you'd expect, with artists like Human League & Soft Cell being in the Electronic show, but they could easily have been in the 80's show instead.
At a guess, Bowie would have been in a "Top 10 Seventies" show if there was one...
The Human League and Soft Cell were in the top 10 new romantics, whilst depeche mode were in the top 10 80s electro pop groups.
I wish they would re-show this series, along with the bbc "I love..." series. Nevermind there is a new series about the 70s on monday on bbc 2. |

I remember that episode well, they did a few others like top 10 one hit wonders and top 10 worst songs. |
