dixie I can't remember the context, (I've not got the book to hand), but you do get mentioned in the book, and the comments were all complementary.

I think you'd enjoy the book, though you possibly knew more about the BMG issues than I previously imagined.
JK2006 Got an E-M from Jenks saying there's a "nice" story about me in the book? Is there - and is it "nice"?
dixie I don't have his Email address, but he can be contacted via his facebook page www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbi...57&id=833831357#!/SteveJenkinsTheFutureIsInTheHistory

(I am in touch with one of his close friends, so in the meantime I'll ask her, and forward it to you directly).

By the way, As soon as I re-read my original post I saw I'd miss typed Clive's surname. It should have read Clive CALDER. Apologies.
JK2006 If you have an e-m for Jenks, Dixie, do send it to me.
dixie I’ve now read Steve Jenkins’ new paperback book telling the story of his life in the UK record Industry. I would suggest anyone who was around from the mid-1970s to around 2008 will find this story fascinating. For those who may not know, Steve joined the industry as a Radio Plugger for NEMS. He went on to work in promotions for numerous companies before setting up Impulse in conjunction with Jive. He went on to be MD of Jive/Zomba UK, and, perhaps for me, the most interesting chapter is where he describes what happened when Clive Cauder (owner of Jive) sold the business to BMG. I found it difficult to put the book down. I really do recommend it to those who were around. This isn’t a “sales pitch” but if you’re interested, more information can be found here: www.amazon.co.uk/Steve-Jenkins-The-Futur...336656325&sr=1-1
