It's a shame that nowadays its all about the money and not the music. Creativity in music is suffering because of it.Your comments are good 20 years out of date. The big money is long gone, many people are doing it for the art these days, it depends what your focus is.
Besides, it's also been proved time and time again that big rewards fuel creativity. When the writers are hungry for it they're at the top of their game, The Beatles, Elton John, Billy Joel, Burt Bacharach, Sting... there's a huge list of writers who's creativity dwindled once they'd made it.
