It's not particularly upbeat, but the most dramatic tale of the pirate radio years (which would make a great film or TV one-off) was that of Radio City, which resulted in the death of Reg Calvert (also manager of The Fortunes and Screaming Lord Sutch).
What you say, about making a decent film about Pirate Radio, I don't want to rock the boad, but nobody has made one yet!

Radio London closed down, ending an era which helped British music rule the world. One day someone will make a decent film about pirate radio in the 60s.
