JK2006 Good for you K; nice to see rampant positivity and love for music dominate your life. Spread the word.

Rather like Simon Cowell; love or hate the music, at least it's good to see SOME people boosting the positive aspects of global love of music.

Most of the moaners - understandably hooked on whether they love or hate a sound - would be better off helping break the music they love rather than complaining about the very few doing just that.

You're right JK. Taking 5 minutes out of my busy day to discuss music on a forum designed for that very purpose is totally inappropriate and a waste of time. I shan't bother in future.

Jaded and Bored Scarred for life? Like Rebecca Black was scarred for life.
You don't know what you're talking about with all due respect.

Rebecca Black has re-uploaded Friday on her own account. She owns the video
and the recording and Ark Music own the publishing. The way Ark Music runs
is like a publisher who produces a one off recording for a flat fee which
the artist gets.

Take a look at the stats. 43 million video views (the original had nearly a billion views).
211,000 likes (yes the dislikes are quadruple this number) but take the haters away
she has 200,000 subscribers and each video has done around 100,000 views on average
with her official music videos getting a lot more views.

She has 100 million views of her video on her own account and is about to go on tour
so yeah scarred for life. NOT!

Ark Music do not do deliberately shit music to troll everyone. Friday was a runaway hit
which no one expected. You really need to watch all their other videos to get a feel
for how the company operates. They make dreams come true for young aspiring singers
admittedly most of whom are not that great. They are running a successful model whilst
we are moaning about them and complaining about how the industry has changed blah blah.

Like their music or not you cannot argue against it. That is just like saying SAW do not
deserve their credits in pop because most of their records are shit. This is music snobbery
at its worst. Typical of guitar wielding artists who feel that only their brand of music
deserves any merit.

No doubt you feel it is crap and that is your choice but you cannot force your opinion
on the rest of us and I don't think the music is crap.

Here is one last point. The entire globe has heard of Friday. Can you please hum the tune
of the record that was number one on the 4th of July.

I beg to differ. The lyrics are weak but the melody is anything but.
She is a 12 year old for heaven's sake what do you expect her to sing about.
Also in the new model era a million views+ is considered to be a success.

Also who is the one judging a song? and on what basis? What yardstick are you
using to judge this song?
The video and song is a bit of fun for a kid to enjoy herself and make a video
to share with her friends and the world. As for mobile botting, the general
consensus is that Youtube has blocked that so whatever video views they get
are genuine.

What yardstick am I using to judge this song?!
The video and song is a bit of fun?!

For crying out loud, see some sense man!

The song and video are written and produced by Ark Music Factory, the production company behind Rebecca Black's Friday.

Ark Music Factory's strategy is to create cringe-worthy music that will go viral because it's unbelievably bad. It will be shared by the public and aired on countless TV/Radio shows because it's laughable... that's their tactic.

It's total crap and that's the point. It will probably make a nice amount of money for the company but the sad fact is a 12 year old girl is going to be scarred for life by this.
