JK2006 One of the reasons I love Sounds of the Sixties is that the often obscure tracks played often remind me of friends from the era... just now Jesamin by the Casuals was played and made me think of dear Selwyn Turnbull, a delightful, cuddly New Zealander who worked on the Decca hit. I desperately tried to get in touch with him a few years ago, only to learn from a mutual friend that he'd just died. It was even sadder as he'd worked hard to make enough money to return to Kiwiland on his retirement and was just getting ready to do so when cancer struck.
