To be publicly "overjoyed" is a bit inconsiderate to Stuart Hall's family. |

The man is 83 years old FFS !!!!
Why not give him a 20 year sentence LOL !
He's hardly likely to survive the original sentence so its a purely pedantic exercise to increase it.
Would you hold the same view if he had touched up your wife or daughter?
that's a reasonable question to ask but I have no answer. I would hope that neither harboured some soul eating hate within that served no useful purpose except to make them miserable. |

It would depend on whether my wife or daughter had mentioned it at the time, how balanced they are today, how much exaggeration might have taken place over the years, how much I had faith in British Justice, the police, the CPS, lawyers... and finally on my own character and attitude to punishment, fair or unfair. |

It's worrying that the increase has happened as a result of media headlines and sensationalist propaganda.
If Stuart Hall wasn't a celebrity then this case would only receive a short paragraph buried away in side. Therefore they're would be no complaints and so it is unfair he is been treated unfairly because he is in the public eye. |
