Tuppenceworth I think the convict was given a juvenile sentence wasn't he?

Remember it's 3 years in an Indian prison. Probably a little rougher than the time you did, JK.

However, I gather that custodial sentences can be served in very short order in India, provided one can pay the *ahem* "special fine..."
JK2006 Even I find this sentence in India odd.
