No further action taken over Operation Yewtree arrest
Last updated Wed 16 Oct 2013
A 65-year-old man arrested by officers from the Operation Yewtree investigation into alleged historical abuse has been informed that no further action will be taken, Scotland Yard has said.
"The decision was made by the police that there was insufficient evidence to proceed," a Metropolitan Police statement said.
The unnamed man was arrested on 3rd April on suspicion of sexual offences at an address in Somerset.
He was the 12th person arrested by Operation Yewtree officers.
It was suggested on another forum that this man had cheated justice because his name wasn't made public to encourage "victims" to come forward.
