Funnily enough, reading the full story in the Mail, I think this is exactly the true Savile; a bit over the top (hands all over the place) but NOT a rapist or an abuser in the sense we use today - let alone way back then, when this kind of behaviour (which I always thought dreadfully uncouth and common) was quite acceptable if outrageous in the 60s and 70s, let alone 80s and even (by older men) in the 90s. |

That's an excellent post Chris - reminiscent of the thorough and accurate research done by our mutual idol Raccoon! And Barn... McGee (ghastly man) only briefly joined that silly campaign, which rightly fell flat on its face... what amused me was when, after my release, the vile McGee had a blog and carried a long post by a man who claimed to have snubbed me when he'd bumped into me in a cafe. It was lies - and provable lies - I had indeed met the man who had not snubbed me but been very friendly, and it was in the reception area of the local probation office. I learned that he was a known child abuser who had breached his parole and later got sent back to prison! After I posted this on the McGee blog, he swiftly took down all the thread. Fool. |

McGee, of course, is the fool that tried to get JK's music award taken back... |

Ah, but - correct me if I'm wrong - this "exclusive" is just a regurgitated aside from a decade-old book on the Rise & Fall of Britpop.
"Investigative Journalism" in the 21st Century consists of scouring the internet and the odd old book for bad quotes about dead men from vaguely 'right-on' people.
I always try to read all of this "news" properly, and then research its source. More often than not it's a load of irrelevant piffle that was mildly understandable in its original source but nonsense when singles out for a 2013 "News Exclusive" |

and this latest bit of tosh confirms I had every reason to.
Quite apart from my disgust of any British 'celebrity' that supported the war criminal and profiteer Tony Blair and his appalling New Labour, everyone connected with Oasis struck me as ghastly working class pompous and arrogant twats.
So Jimmy Savile was a 'pervert' for trying to chat up a legal aged woman ?.
not even the Daily Mail readers agree.. |
