Reading the Guardian magazine article on teenagers and online bullies - there are clearly many trolls/bullies/loonies and, rather like Vampires in mirrors, they simply cannot see themselves. They usually hide behind self delusion (religion, child protection, moral superiority etc) - none of them would admit to being bullies or trolls or haters - and are incredibly stupid (using the same IP numbers which both gets them blocked, so their victims never see their rants, and gets noted by the police, who keep a database on them as, frequently, they are potential future abusers, killers, terrorists etc).
In prison the tiny minority who shout insults are always, without exception, those desperately concealing far worse crimes. I remember one going on about gays who was swiftly revealed as the mugger and killer of an old lady. |
