Of course they can, but despite their upbringing not because of it. It is a fact that unloved people brought up in a neglectful and violent environment are more likely (but not bound to) to offend in the way Andrew describes.
Tony Blair could of course have been regularly thumped for all we know. I am surprised he isn't still. |
