I understand you were unhappy that Staffordshire Bull Terriers were referred to as dangerous dogs during the broadcast as you feel the blame should be placed with their owners. I also note that you feel such articles are biased against the breed.

Our coverage of the tragic death of Lexi Branson has included general information about dog attacks in the UK to help set a wider context. Images of breeds that have been associated with other dog attacks have featured in this coverage but we have been careful not to report that these were responsible for the death of Lexi Branson.Please be assured your concerns were raised with the relevant editorial staff at BBC News.
