andrew Think X Factor should be axed same the US version, why have Gene Simmons daughter on there, surely he could arrange a contract with her ?

Ah, but that's the point - the key reason the X-Factor still gets the viewing figures it does, is because Cowell has the press (especially The Sun) in his pocket. It's interesting to see that the US version has been an ongoing flop, but that's because thay haven't been able to get any traction with the press to create the "soap opera"/"sob story" aspects the UK version relies upon.

The BBC is hugely jealous of this, and has always struggled to match it, especially with The Voice, an expensive acquisition which has been a ratings disappointment so far, despite being a huge hit in every other territory in which it is made. The high quality of SCD compared to a lacklustre XF this year tipped the balance, but Cowell & Cole's almost-certain return to XF next year will start the whole thing off again...
Pru A good final with some lovely moments, and some GREAT singing from the band. But the twits in the production team who think they're on the X Factor or BGT need to grow up. Leaks to manipulate from start to finish. When it was clear Dave Myers was heading to the semi finals no matter what the judges said, they leaked a silly story about his dance partner that wrecked their vote overnight. The next week, he was out. Before the finals, they knew that Natalie had no chance because fans disliked the fact she was a trained dancer. So it was between Susanna and Abby. So they not only leaked the story about how many votes Susanna was getting (way, way more than the rest), but they also encouraged some pretty foul Glenda Slagg-style attacks on Susanna for no other reason than she was deemed 'too popular'. The result was okay, although Abby spent more time with her hair than her dancing, but, really, some people in the SCD team need to sort themselves out!
andrew ITV eat your heart out. You just can't compete with your cheesy dying relative stories. Everyone thought that Susanah would win because of all the tabloids said that it was a done deal. Good to see that there are still some surprises out there. I think that Kevin and Susanah should get together, then she wouldn't have as much of a commute to Salford every day from Grimsby as London everyday. I'm so happy for Abbey, she really wears her heart on her string and was probably the best dancer as well as the most popular.

Why do ITV put millions of pounds in to X Factor, when it's losing millions of viewers ?
robbiex Abbey won on merit. If Natalie or Abbey had won it would have been acceptable as they were the best dancers. All the tabloids said that Susanah was the surefire winner at 11/10,but I was glad to see it disproved. Shes as excited as a school girl and the x-factor can't compete with all its fakery and mock emotions. Top marks bbc, brilliant music and forget all those yewtree "false" accusations, you are still the best broadcaster in the world.
