The problem with doing that is that you would need to rent a dedicated server and have the bandwidth to support it. You'd be looking at several hundred a month to do it properly. You can however easily link to your video hosted elsewhere like google, youtube or other places and it doesn't sock you for all the bandwidth and storage.

Nice travelblog.
I was a very late in the day user of Youtube and Myspace, preferring to put stuff on my own site, my web builders however lived four hundred miles away, and changing music and news over was becoming difficult, which led me to both the above services.
The best way though, is surely to have your own views on your own webpages, if everybody does this, there is yet another shake up on the way, and a lot of the other "build your own web page now" companies will boom.
I like the casual listens and viewings you achieve on the two massive global sites, but I am looking forward to the security of having all the new things on my server and previews only elsewhere.
I also noticed this morning that AOL are beta testing their video player, I hazard a guess that we are weeks away from "AOL Broadcast Yourself Here*, then, it`s all wide open.
