hedda I just watched the South African actor Sharlto Copley in Elysium ..always brilliant, always overlooked.
JK2006 All of my favourite recent films are nominated somewhere - Gravity, Philomena, Captain Phillips, Blue Jasmine, Saving Mr Banks - except Le Weekend which really should have been nominated somewhere. Looking forward to seeing American Hustle and Wolf over next weeks; will also have to go to 12 Years although I don't really want to. The only dead cert winner, I reckon, is Cate Blanchett whose performance is extraordinary. Suppose the ghastly Frozen will also win by default. Tom Hanks deserved to be nominated for the last ten minutes of Captain Phillips but the supporting actor's job was terrific too.
