In The Know ... that society has more than a small guilt in the death of Joe Geeling.

His killer, a 14 year old boy, had (it is now admitted) made sexual advances to him - and these were rebuffed.

Rather than face the stigma of having to admit to gay feelings he bludgeoned the youngster to death.

Would he have behaved the same way had a girl rejected his advances? Would he not have said (something like) "you have to try, don't you?" rather proudly?

In the meantime, you really have to admire the dignity of his parents -
