It was a puncture - mended and put back on my little car at the cost of a mere £15.

The London Underground is just as good. Had occasion recently to travel between the two Westfields - Stratford and Shepherds Bush.
13 miles across London, in under half an hour! By car, during the day, it could take almost two hours, with parking. |

a Mini for London. the only sensible car and easy to park.

Correct on both counts, Dixie. My recent trips to Liverpool and Cambridge were fantastic by train and I do indeed love the NYC subway system. Likewise, I'm doing more and more European travel by train instead of plane or car. I'm getting old! |
