In The Know (as always) Manchester United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward has revealed the failure to secure European football will cost the club over £30m.

"We are focused on bringing in a manager. An announcement will be made in due course."

Following the talks in Holland yesterday, LVG has accepted Giggs as his assistant, but protracted contract talks with the pair will still take some days ... and they don;t want to "jump the gun" as they did with Moyes (when the Press Office accidentally leaked his appointment a bit too early.

Now looks like next week before they confirm what ITK told you nearly 4 weeks ago !

Most people knew it would be LVG when Daily Mail speculated.

Quite right andrew.

But poor old ITK thinks he had a scoop!

A few of my mates made a bets on LVG when it was mentioned in the Daily Mail no doubt there be few hundred quid in their bank account any time soon, something we all should of done. Man UTD are not my team so it don't really matter to me anyway who gets it the job.

Will Sam Allardyce stay ? (I love it if Tommy Taylor got the role)
