dixie We're very close on our predictions on Max's sentence. You predict 18 months. I suggest 2 years. Whoever is most out pays for our next breakfast/lunch? (If he gets 21 months we split the bill!!
JK2006 I'm hoping to hear from Simon at any moment, Dixie, but I'm not holding my breath.

Perhaps he can resume his close friendship with Jonathan King now>

JK, are you still in touch with Mrs Cowell?

They certainly come and go, Mr Clifford.

As Inspector Blake used to say, it's made my day this has.

Not mine.

Even if Max Clifford is guilty,(we have to assume he is) I am sure most would agree that the evidence seemed at best flimsy and at worst ridiculous.
If trials are not fair it harms every one of us.

To be fair, Clifford has harmed a lot of people through his non criminally convicted activities.

He's a parasite who zones in on the misery of others, whilst making a lot of cash for himself.

He is all that and more, but he is irrelevant in the real story....That people who cant possibly defend themselves are being convicted for trumped up "crimes" that were normal (if unpleasant) at the time.
It could just as easily be any one of us.
