I applied for thousands of jobs since I was redundant, what's next ITK ?
How is doing community service, daily sign on and applying for fake jobs on a government website going to help get work ?

I warned you that times were going to get very hard - and the longer you stay unemployed the harder they will be.
My advice is to get a job ! ANY JOB.
Once you have a job continue to apply for better jobs.
Employers always prefer people already in work, as they know that you have a work ethic / can get out of bed / will turn up on time and will get the job done.
There is NO shortcut - this is the only way.
My 2nd piece of advice is - ignore anything hedda says - he's a loony ! |

Google, Facebook, Twitter ( and the Internets)..just 3 entities that in 10 years have wreaked havoc upon the world...by hoovering up advertising at a furious rate, changing the whole nature of publishing, decimating authors (unless you write H.Potter) putting tens of thousands of former publishing industry workers out of jobs etc etc blah blah.
What politician is facing this reality ?..they can't even make the bastards pay their fair share of tax let alone try to work out what the job market will be like 5 years down the track.
So what do they do...writhe around like nincompoops shaking their legs in the air because the Daily Mail etc etc tells them kiddies may seen porn !!!! . Shock Horror !
if a leader came along to tackle life as it is (not as it was..not mentioning names but yes you ITK  ) the people would love them !!
trouble is it will probably take another Hitler.  |

The price I quoted was only for used televisions. Yours might be different though. 
I dont see much point in the government funding the railway course. I am guessing, because stations are closing left right and centre that there are more qualified railway workers than available jobs?
Would they help fund it if you moved to a different area to find work?
In the last 7 years I moved 9 times to get work. is there much point being forced on a community scheme on something you don't want to do ? We pay council tax for the council to clean the streets etc. My misses wants to do caring but needs a NVQ if she goes to college she loses all her benefits, nasty vicious circle government have created.
See ITK dolers do want to work.
And this is why people have babies when they dont have jobs. 
If you have a baby, your girlfriend wont need to be available for work, and she can do the course while you look after the child.
Then she gets a job and you can afford your railway course. 
Does she already have a volunteer placement?
She is signed off sick for personal issues, she can't have kiddies also makes ITK happy. I can't see what the issue is you can do a course and still look for work hence the name Job Seekers Allowance, government don't want people to better themselves, when they willing to do courses and look for work.
I wasn't suggesting you "actually" had a child, but used the idea to illustrate how the system encourages people to make poor choices.
I suppose you could say that if you are unfit to work you are unfit for college, but every case will be different.
If your girlfriend is well enough I strongly advise applying for volunteer work as a gateway to a job.
I hope it all works out well for her. For both of you. x |
