Pru I'm sure it was the brilliant Peter Cook who dubbed Frost 'the bubonic plagiarist,' not,as the Mail article said, the misanthropic Miller.
JK2006 Yes indeed - he is an acquaintance (I met and knew all the four EXCEPT Miller) and we share mutual friends.
mrlemon Alan Bennett was sympathetic to you in his diary I think.
JK2006 For those of us "of a certain age" there were two incredible foursomes - The Beatles and the Beyond The Fringe team. Only two of each survive. McCartney and Starr, and Miller and Bennett.

Stunning talent - combined made them so much greater. The four Fringers made Frost, Python and everything possible.
