In The Know (as always)

When MPs vote today I hope they remember that it was they who voted against action when Cameron wanted to take out Assad.

A small step then would have prevented a much bigger conflict now.

"We will attack them in Iraq but not in Syria"

...... even though they operate in BOTH countries and are largely based in Syria !

"We will not put 'boots on the ground' but admit air power alone will not eradicate them"

...... is it possible to get any more cloth-eared woolly-brained thinking than this ???

ALL of the current situation is caused by Obama "setting a red line" and then letting the Syrians walk all over it !

Their allies, the Russians, saw he was weak and would not stand-up to them ... hence the invasion of Ukraine.

The promised "help" for the Syrian Free Army never really materialized, opening the door to every nutter in the world to join in.

See my previous post - Obama wettest and weakest US President in history.

His (understandable) reluctance to stand up for anything is likely to cause war for ALL of us !

The West - who have long sat on the fence and backed vicious tyrants (if it was politically expedient to do so), while condemning others - are now so confused they are starting WW3 ... but are not sure why or what for !

With no clear policy, or one which changes daily depending on whether its raining or not, they are about to go headlong into lunacy.

They back some tyrant dictator states while opposing others. They support land-grabbers like Iswail, but oppose exactly the same actions by, say, Saddam Hussein (in Kuwait).

They want rid of Assad (last week anyway) but are now going to drop that policy in favour of ousting IS (which almost certainly would not exist of the vacuum created by the West hadn't been available).

They are pro-Taliban (when they are fighting Russian) but anti-Taliban when they stand in the way of their proposed pipeline across Afghanistan (it must have been raining that day).

You cannot win anything with no coherent policy ...

This is what happens when you are two-faced - its Soddom and Gomorrah time.

Very true ITK,but not exactly a new policy.
