The absurd suggestion to include UKIP in election debates but not Greens, SNP etc reminds me of the Leveson team member, when I asked why the Inquiry cared about Milly Dowler but not about Amelie Delagrange or Marsha McDonnell - "they were not high profile enough". That was an Inquiry examining the power of the media. Setting its agenda depending on the media.
Likewise now - debates must include UKIP - why? Because the media (showing the debates) have invented a "powerful" party - UKIP - where, in reality, it's just "a good story".

UKIP 18%
Libs 8%
Green 5%
SNP 4%
this suggests that JK is spot on.
Seems absurd to invite the Liberals Mr King
But JK is correct- Clearly the vast majority of voters did not want any of these people. |

A poll would probably put One Dimension at 65% Patt but even you wouldn't suggest they be in the debate.
A few screaming fans doesn't mean a political career Mr King. UKIP are there because the public support them, the other parties obviously haven't got that level of support...ignore the public at your peril....even Milliband has started to take notice! |
