and this :
we rarely spoke of it my family but my great Aunt was repeatedly raped and beaten by Russian soldiers during WW2.
She was so badly hurt she was unable to ever have children.
She survived and became our beloved maiden aunt who became a highly successful business woman and doted on her young relatives. She never spoke of being a 'victim'- she had to accept what life delivered and make the most of her life. She even became a supporter of Russins children's charities.
To hear these god awful phoney feminazis give equal credence to a woman who allowed herself to get so drunk she didn't even remember what had happened ( I'm sure my Aunt would have loved to wipe her memory)is an insult to many other victims. |

indeed.
these mantras are dangerous & deluded and are "one size fits all" solution.
Judy was talking about a situation that does happen all too frequently- alcohol which lower inhibitions. The 'victim' in this case accompanied the footballer back to a hotel. Did she think they were going for a cup of tea?
The other factor is that people can think clearly whilst being quite pissed and still not remember the next day what happened.
Clearly the law 'mends ' the situation by stating that having sex with anyone (does that include the man) when they are drunk constitutes rape but does not take into account the fact most young men & women are out getting drunk on the weekends for the express purpose of lowering their inhibitions and hopefully have sex even with a stranger.
There are varying degrees of violence in rape and Finnigan spoke the truth. |

By muddying the definition of rape with silly slogans like "rape is rape" and destroying sensible comments from people like Judy, the anti-rape lobby are promoting rape; as police occupy more and more of their time investigating and prosecuting mistakes and misunderstandings, real rapists will get off scott free. Just watch the serious, genuine rape numbers (i.e. at knife point) rise whilst feminists howl about unimportant trivialities.
