It is a shame it is a fake. It would have won him quite a few more votes! |

And finally, Esther...I also recall the jolly day when, after - ha ha! - a somewhat LIQUID lunch, dear old John Junor and myself decided - no idea why! - to dress up as doctors and we went off to St Mary's Hospital and delivered Princess Anne's baby! Miracle it came out in one piece. I was drunk on vodka and dear old Johnny had imbibed three bottles of whisky and a pint of port! I have a picture somewhere of the royal snatch. Must put that up. All in the loft, I imagine. Totally unsentimental, that's my problem, otherwise I'd be rich! |

I knew he looked spookily familiar and I've been wracking my brains (pretty wracked)..going through old snaps and there he was..our Nigel as a yoof.
It was a demo ( can't remember what for) we marched through London in the late 70s and ended up at Trafalgar Square and Tom Robinson stood aloft on one of those lions and sang "sing if your'e glad to be gay"...
Nig and I and Billy Idol (had his own hair then)and the daughter of a hugely famous TV star who I won't mention ( Des) all went to Portobello Road to my Mews Flat..God only knows what happened. I know this- Nig took a liking to a gorgeous Pakistani girl who I was very friendly with but I think it all went pie-eyed. Political parties have been built on less..
