Topic History of: Is abuse historic or hysterical? Max. showing the last 5 posts - (Last post first)

Yes but a lot isn't; there WERE ghastly incidents of Oliver Twist type abuse in care homes, families and schools. The problem is that those tragic cases will now get lost as the avalanche of fake claims get spotted - poisoning the real ones. Like so much else, this wave of insanity has one very sad repercussion - that genuinely abused are LESS likely to be believed. |

most of the screeching about historic abuse is histrionics. |

well the media are using the wrong words as its now changed.
Historic ?
Historical ?
NO, it is now known as
"none current sex abuse"
I am sure it will change again soon.
MWT is swimming in his own smugness at the moment, within days he will be able to charge 10k for a evenings talk
We are being flooded with sex abuse stories, a few true but most false. |

Surely historic is the wrong word? Historical? Do we really need this madness? Oh well, I suppose it's one way to spend our taxes. Now military, law enforcement and politicians in the 70s have been murdering boys. Goodness me - and not a whisper at the time. It's like a very bad TV film script. |
