I'm simply stating that both parties have made their own mess with the economy..Thatcher borrowed more at times,less at others,as did Brown...but to say things were perfect under Heath,but crap under Labour is a joke...The IMF would have happened regardless of who was in power back in the 70s...remember in her first year Thatcher tripled unemployment and inflation...hardly an economic miracle worker.

has Britain not become richer year after year since time immemorial?
Due mainly to property prices soaring..not because of manufacturing or productivity (except in financial markets and much of that wealth is based on share prices, another illusion)
sort of thing that floats ITK's boat tho but it's well known he designed the Titanic. |
