Very good point Honey; surely everyone would agree that someone abusing an orphan in a care home thirty years ago SHOULD be brought to justice (these days I've come to the conclusion that they do - karma is a powerful force). But it is very difficult to find proof of such crimes. So Michael Howard changed the law - with the best intentions but my god the consequences have been appalling. |

That would be fine if the prosecutors used common sense and considered if a fair trial was possible. |

Yes Freedom of Speech has a lot to answer for, specifically in this era of the Internet. As I've said elsewhere, since the advent of Twitter, Facebook, You Tube, Tumblr and others, we've given the green light to the green ink brigade. |
