More number ones than any other female British artist. Apparently.
Also:
First British recording star to perform behind the Iron Curtain; last to perform in Iran.
First British artist to win the Eurovision Song Contest.
First British female artist to produce and own her masters and copyright.
I think I shoud go out more
(PS Thanks for answer JK. I think I have a certain empathy with that but not sure if I could have kept up both.) |

Zoo - I stayed at Cambridge because I loved Literature (still do) and enjoyed the lectures and learning... it has proved invaluable since then by giving me a grounding and a philosophy that enabled me not only to survive but to benefit from wrongful conviction.
I also did not want to betray my Mum's sacrifices in sending me through Charterhouse at great expense.
And MM - no, I don't think the manager was Stiggie (or Stigma as I fondly used to call him)... I don't think even Don could have held that weight! Mind you, Peter Grant was even fatter.
Sadly we can never ask Don to tell us; I gather he has advanced Altzheimers. |

Also - was the manager "held" over the balcony by Don Arden not Robert Stigwood (of Cream / Bee Gees / Saturday Night Fever fame?) |

Curious to know; why did you stay at college and not opt for music full-time?
I'm thinking you didn't need to pass any exams for your future benefit as after your hit were already fairly well set-up financially.
Anyway, it's remarkable you manged to juggle both. |
