I had to come back from Rome for a friend's funeral. Plane was delayed, flight packed, landed somewhere odd, hated the whole thing Andrew. But these days I loathe flying and avoid it if at all possible. Trains are far preferable Hedda! And driving. Not to mention that old standby - walking.

Trains work about as far as Southern France, planes after that....anybody who's done the Trans-Siber like moi can tell ye how silly being on a train for too many days can be....that said a rail tour of your own planning via 'Rail Europe/Inter-Rail etc can be fun...but JK with a backpack?

I flew EasyJet once. Never again.

What was the experience JK ?
Pattaya Ryanair return flight...optional extras apply,like suitcase,priority boarding etc...direct flight...going out about 11am,return lunchtime.
I still own a flat in Ukraine,so have a few clothes out there,so no need to upgrade a suitcase.Planned right, you can do a trip by actually washing your own clothes...if ye choose the type of things that can be got away with not ironing etc...or a short trip not needing too many clothes.

I doubt if Mr king has ever been on Ryanair...or even Hedda ...but then again who wants to mix with the very peasants we do not want voting?

A direct return with BA,including baggage from Heathrow on the same dates, similar times etc is £259!...oh how the rich must live.
