there are a 1000 Oliver Cromwells ( MWT?) in the UK itching to usher in another dark age of suspicion and retribution for perceived 'crimes'.
Impassioned Plea
On Monday 23 August 2010, BBC Panorama screened ‘Please don’t take our child’. The story of yet another UK travesty in which a good couple were falsely accused of hurting their child. But after the parents were cleared, Gordon Jeyes, representing the system which had almost destroyed them, defended it saying, “It’s the social workers job to think the unthinkable.” Coincidentally, or not, Gordon Jeyes had been the director of children's services at Cambridgeshire County Council, which fought hard to criminalize the innocent Ward couple and take their child. And, 3-centuries earlier, Cambridgeshire was the homebase of arrogant Lord High Protector/Witch Hunter Of All England, the loathsome Oliver Cromwell.
By late-2010, UK Gordon Jeyes was profitably appointed the new Irish National Director for Children and Family Services. In 2014 he became chief executive of the new Irish National Child Protection Agency, Ireland's top child-protection job in a state industry now managing a staff of 4,000 and a budget of 600 million. It is surely no coincidence that he has moved from the country from which parents and children are fleeing, to the country to which they are mainly fleeing - Ireland. Now with draconian efforts of Irish social services to seize children, with expert witnesses doing sloppy work or simply telling lies for profit, parents are afraid to take their children to hospital after accidents in case they are blamed by a society and system gone mad in its pursuit of what social workers perceive as ‘appropriate parenting’, whatever that is?!Add the deadly mix of secret family courts and the punishment of parents for trying to fight back and you arrive at the current situation where UK families are fleeing their own country to try to keep their children and to have their new babies born overseas, mainly in Ireland.
William Ward was the baby at the heart of the Panorama story and quotes from his parents, Jake and Victoria, are telling, “the feeling of powerlessness...nightmare spiralling out of control...realization that the accusations are going to grow and grow and grow.”
Attitudes in Ireland towards fleeing British mothers are hardening and increasingly Irish social workers are called by hospital matrons when UK women-in-labour arrive. There are moves in high place to have Irish laws changed supposedly ‘to protect children more effectively’. In particular to introduce ‘the more robust British system’ which is the ONLY one in Europe turning its own citizens and parents into refugees or criminals. With Ireland moving closer to the UK way, the traditional world perception of Ireland-of-the family and our Ireland of the-friendly-welcome, may be thrown to the now familiar UK-style dogs of profit greed-and-fear.
