But these are rude questions, they'd compound the trauma. What could be worse than sexual abuse but being asked questions about it?
You'd think the penny would have dropped by now that adults + money = possible fraud, especially if all they need to do is tell a story that demands to be believed, no awkward questions or thorough checks, and strength in numbers means "it must be true". Benefit cheats and insurance fraudsters are probably wishing it was so easy.

Why do they NEVER ask "do people lie or exaggerate?" or "can memory be faulty?" or "can people convince themselves they are telling the truth when they are not?". All very important questions nobody dares ask.
