Shakespeare hasn't been "home" for five hundred years - but they still flock to the door (and buy the souvenirs).
Its 900 years since Thomas Beckett stood in Canterbury - but they still come in droves !
The burial of our beloved Richard III in March will be a worldwide media event (I'm going, hedda - will wave to you !)
We simply don't need them to be alive - we have interactive screens to do all that (how long does it take to teach a machine to wave????) |

the building s will still be there and probably sold off to an absent landlord in China.
Stay out of the UK for 4 years and return.
It's then you realise that it's the royals that keep London afloat. Not bloody tacky High Street stores or even Harrods of which every city in the world now has the equivalent of.
On my last visit 3 years ago I was depressed to see what was once a great shopping excursion was merely a mirror of every Aussie Westfield ( but with worse parking)

You think they would go there to see Jordon or Peter Andre? |

but would they have the pulling power for the multi-billion pound tourism industry generated by Liz, Phil, Andrew & and my soon to be glammed up Camilla ?
Oh, yes, hedda ... I keep telling you, the buildings will still be there (Shakespeare is dead but it doesn't stop millions visiting Stratford, does it?)
You can pay extra for a night in the bed where Lizzie slept !
Anyway ... just think of the extra tourists - scroungers are now the No 1 talent on TV over here (every channel now has a scrounger / benefits programme) ! |

she is already in a council house.
Who do they think owns Buck House?
Yes, I believe Buck House is OURS - and as she already has plenty of "second homes" (which do belong to her) she is depriving some chav, his fat girlfriend, and their offspring (one of which will be called Dwayne !) of a decent home !!!
