Do you think we should adapt to what the Australia do, they protect a lot as much sport aside they can do to be FTA. All Ashes tournaments have to be FTA but in the UK the government didn't protect it.
I know some set top boxes etc don't pick up BT Sports so CL is not available to the masses.

Boxing last night on ITV drew in millions of viewers. They were hyping up Frampton next bout which sort of hinted ITV will bid for the rights.
Cricket World Cup has caused a huge debate whether the government should revise how sport should be broadcasted. ICC World Cup is just as important as the FIFA World Cup which has to be FTA, Ashes is no longer FTA which is a legendary tournament.
The Australian government favors the FTA format for sport, I be interested what's events are FTA in Australia Herds. Here in the UK government just can't be bothered. Unless the BBC just wants the niche rich man sports.
